I'm in the final throws of this monstrosity diptych that will take up about 15 feet of wall space. It's taking a long time, but it's getting there. You can see progress photos here. Here is more finished work.
I took carving lessons from a talented Russian master carver named Boris Khechoyan. This has increased the speed at which I work, reduced my number of open wounds, and made the work much more enjoyable. Quality tools make for happy carving. Visit Boris' website - his work is pretty amazing. He does custom furniture, too.
